Pediatric Dental Assistant

We are currently seeking an experienced, friendly and outgoing Registered Dental Assistant and a Front office team member to join our exceptional team in a very busy growing Pediatric Dental Practice in Rockwall. If you have pediatric experience and love working with kids, in a very fast pace office, then you could be the one we are looking for! -Must be dependable -Must be able to multi task and work well under pressure

RDA position duties include but not limited to: -Assisting the Dentists chairside during treatment appointments and Hygienists during recall appointments -Taking digital x-rays on pediatric patients -Charting and entering all clinical notes in Open Dental software -Sterilization -Room set-up and turn-over -Any and all duties as requested by dentists, hygienists or office manager -Current Texas RDA license -Nitrous Oxide certification -CPR

• Front Office position duties include but are not limited to:
• Greeting patients
• Answering phones
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Preparing, patient files / routing slips
• Scanning insurance and all other necessary paperwork in patient files
• Verifying and entering dental insurance correctly with complete breakdowns
• Explaining to patients their dental coverage
• Treatment planning and pre-treatment estimates
• Presenting treatment plans to patients
• Check out and release patients
• Collect payments
• Preparing claims using correct and up to date CDT codes
• Filing claims and pre-treatment estimates to batches with the correct insurance
• Working with patient recall and reactivation system
• Assisting with any and all office duties as needed or assigned

Previous dental experience and a knowledge of Open Dental software would be a plus, but not necessary for the right candidate.
