Job Summary: The Patient Services Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. This position is responsible for managing appointments, patient check-in, handling phone calls, verifying insurance coverage, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the office.
Responsibilities: * Greet patients warmly and ensure a positive, professional first impression * Answer phone calls with confidence and dental knowledge * Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments * Verify insurance coverage and benefits * Process billing, collect payments, and maintain accurate financial records * Conduct treatment consultations and help patients understand recommended care * Check patients in and out efficiently * Maintain and update patient records, ensuring all required forms are completed * Coordinate patient follow-ups and appointment reminders * Manage office correspondence and daily scheduling needs * Assist with patient referrals and coordination of care with specialists
Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent * Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a dental office required * Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures * Excellent communication and organizational skills * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment * Knowledge of dental office management software
Work Environment: * Primarily desk-based with frequent patient interaction at the front desk * Fast-paced, team-oriented, and patient-focused setting * High-traffic reception area requiring strong multitasking and communication skills
