Associate Dentist

*Job Overview* We are seeking an Associate Dentist to join our pediatric dental practice. The position is for one day a week. Although, we are a pediatric dental office we want a general dentist to see our older, more well-behaved teenagers. Working with the younger patient's is a bonus but we are seeking someone geared to see the older patients. *Duties* * Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for patients of all ages. * Execute a variety of dental procedures, including but not limited to dental extractions, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. * Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. * Maintain accurate patient records using Opendental software. * Educate patients on oral health, preventive care, and treatment options. * Collaborate with dental hygienists and support staff to ensure optimal patient care. * Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities. *Skills* * Proficient knowledge of anatomy related to dental health. * Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry. * Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. * Familiarity with oral surgery techniques is a plus. * Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. * Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members. * Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
