Job Description
Job Summary We are a small town dental office focused on providing exceptional care to our patients. We are looking for a skilled and team oriented Dental Hygienist to join our team.
We are a non-corporate office that values work life balance and is focused on patient care- No burnout!!
One hygiene column- No more than 8 pt a day with 1- 1.5 hr time slots. We use dentrix.
Currently looking for 3 days a week with the option to become FT (4 days)
Pay: 45/hr

Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and evaluate vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration to assess patient health status
- Assist with medical imaging procedures like X-rays while maintaining proper aseptic techniques
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options
- Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate patient histories and treatment plans
- Support chairside assisting during various dental procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry practices
- Maintain infection control protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations and OSHA standards
- Use dental software systems like Dentrix for documentation review, scheduling, and record keeping
- Conduct patient assessments to identify oral health issues early and coordinate appropriate care
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes related to dental procedures
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting
- Proven experience in dental office environments, including familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control procedures
- Experience working with pediatric patients and in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently for optimal workflow
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and medical records management
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality
