Dental Assistant
Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, assisting in general dentistry. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments in general dentistry.
- Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and organized according to aseptic technique.
- Take and record vital signs of patients as necessary.
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software, including Dental coding for insurance purposes.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Assist with endodontic procedures as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the dental office.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a strong understanding of general dentistry practice.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately.
- Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental management software is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
