Dental Assistant

Beautiful Smiles by Design is one of the fastest growing dental offices in Dalton and Calhoun in Georgia and now in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We're looking for someone to join our team as a Dental Assistant at our Dalton location in Georgia who will,

• provide appropriate oral health services to patients and families.
• assist the Dentist during a variety of treatment procedures including, but not limited to, taking/developing dental radiographs (x-rays) and preparing/sterilizing instruments and equipment for patient use.

Essential Functions:

• Ensures patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment.
• Conducts patient history and takes blood pressure & pulse.
• Prepares materials and equipment for treatment and have them ready for the dentist's use.
• Provides patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as a restoration (filling).
• Is knowledgeable in the basic dental assisting functions like, restorative and surgical assisting, tray set up, sterilization.
• Knowledge of implants and orthodontics a plus.
• Prepares patients for services, documents procedures and assists with other office management activities, such as, scheduling patients, as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Can work at least one Saturday after a couple of months.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

Education:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: (Required)
• Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA): (Required)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: (Preferred)

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
