Duties
- Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, cosmetic, and prosthodontics.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging.
- Execute dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other oral surgeries with precision and aseptic technique.
- Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment plans effectively to patients and team members.
- Manage medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate and complete medical records and dental charts.
- Apply infection control protocols diligently to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with specialists when necessary for complex cases such as endodontics or pediatric dentistry, ensuring seamless patient care.
Qualifications
- Valid state dental license with current certification to practice dentistry.
- Proven experience in a dental clinic or office setting with proficiency in dental office software such as Open Dental or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards.
- Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently to enhance patient comfort and treatment flow.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus; experience working with children is highly valued.
