Dental Hygienist

Duties

• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing
• Take digital dental X-rays (Nomad, Dexis) and perform other diagnostic tests
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
• Administer local anesthesia to patients as needed
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, such as fillings and extractions
• Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile dental environment

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in California

• Proven prior experience as a Dental Hygienist

• Familiarity with medical imaging technology and terminology

• Strong understanding of infection control procedures and aseptic technique

• Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate dental care recommendations

• Proficiency in Curve Dental or similar cloud-based dental software for patient records management.

• Tech-savvy. Proficiency in using computers and in digital dentistry

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
