Dental Assistant

Small Oral Surgery practice seeking to add a Registered Dental Assistant to the team! Candidates who can demonstrate excellent patient care, efficient time management skills, and show great initiative we want to meet you! At least one year of dental office experience encouraged to apply, Oral surgery is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Our typical office hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (clocked in by 7:00 AM) Friday 8:00 am – 1:00 pm (clocked in by 7:00 AM)

Requirements: -Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience is required - oral surgery assisting is a plus!

• Clock in everyday at 7:00 am, ready to start the day.
• Active Registered Dental Assistant License with The Texas State Board of Dental Examiners
• Current CPR/ BLS Certification
• Hep B vaccinations -Clean back ground check. -Reliable mode of transportation

Oral Surgery Assistant Daily Work Flow:

•   Maintain steady patient flow and movement for the day
  

•   Take diagnostic x-rays and cone beam CT scans
  

•   Review consent forms and preoperative instructions
  

•   Prepare and turn over surgical rooms for corresponding treatment
  

•   Assist the doctor during surgical procedures
  

•   Monitor patients for safety during recovery after administration of anesthetics/sedatives
  

•   Accurately record treatment information in OMS Vision
  

•   Explain post-op care to patients and their escorts
  

•   Sterilize and set up instruments for surgery
  

•   Coordinate with team members on setting up exam and surgical notes each day
  

•   Comply with the State of Texas health care laws, regulations and organizational guidelines
  

•   Be willing to help the team members other tasks as needed!
