Position Overview The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in supporting both the dentist and the overall patient experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a caring attitude toward patients. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, and passionate about providing quality care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support: Assist the dentist during all dental procedures, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort. Prepare and sterilize instruments, materials, and treatment rooms according to OSHA and infection control standards. Proficient with digital radiographs. Maintain accurate and organized digital patient records.
Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for treatment, explaining procedures in a calm and reassuring manner. Provide post-operative instructions and ensure patients feel comfortable before and after procedures. Support a positive and welcoming atmosphere throughout the patient visit.
Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of dental assisting experience preferred (new graduates welcome to apply). Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
Education & Certification: Completion of Dental Assisting program or equivalent experience preferred. Current CPR certification required; dental radiology certification preferred.
Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of dental procedures, materials, and chairside techniques. Ability to work well as part of a team and maintain a professional demeanor under pressure. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
