Dental Associate

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Associate to join our friendly dental team. The office was completely renovated in 2020 with heat, massage and TV in all treatment rooms. Chatham is a robust and growing community with great schools, restaurants and services. It's just a few minutes to Springfield and a short drive to St Louis and Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Perform general dentistry procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canal therapy with precision and care.
• Assist in complex procedures such as prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and dental fabrication to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical and dental histories and evaluating oral health status.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies.
• Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-procedure instructions clearly to patients.
• Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Use practice management software such as Dentrix or similar systems for scheduling, billing, and record keeping.
• Demonstrate proficiency in dental office procedures including sterilization, patient care coordination, and medical documentation updates.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their individual needs.
• Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry setups to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited US school.
• Valid Illinois dental license with eligibility to practice as a Dental Associate.
• Proven experience in general dentistry; experience with pediatric dentistry or pediatric patients is a plus.
• Familiarity with Dentrix dental software is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of infection control standards, and HIPAA compliance.
• Skills in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical records management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
• Commitment to maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards within the clinic environment.

Pay: $175,000.00 - $350,000.00 per year
