Duties

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations, medical history reviews, and oral health evaluations using dental terminology and medical imaging techniques.
• Deliver a wide range of dental services such as general dentistry procedures, dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care.
• Utilize advanced dental software systems like open dental to document patient records accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
• Conduct patient consultations to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions clearly and professionally.
• Execute aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain a sterile environment and prevent infection.
• Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal care delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical documentation standards to provide high-quality patient care consistently.

Requirements

• Valid state license to practice dentistry with current certification in general dentistry.
• Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry, including pediatrics-specific procedures and patient management strategies.
• Proficiency in performing dental fabrication tasks such as crowns or bridges when necessary.
• Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery confidently.
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and deliver compassionate service.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, medical terminology, medical imaging techniques, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to oral health and the use of medical records for documentation purposes.
