Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support our dentists and hygienists while helping provide exceptional patient care in a welcoming and professional environment. The ideal candidate is organized, team-oriented, and committed to creating a positive experience for every patient.

Responsibilities

- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by ensuring all instruments, materials, and equipment are properly set up and ready for use.
- Assist dentists and hygienists during procedures by providing instruments, materials, and chairside support.
- Take dental X-rays under the dentist's supervision, ensuring patient safety and image quality.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control and OSHA guidelines.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records as needed.
- Provide outstanding customer service by helping patients feel comfortable and cared for during their visits.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow to support efficient daily operations.
- Support administrative functions such as insurance verification, billing, and patient documentation when needed.

Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred. - Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with a strong interest in dentistry. - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, instruments, and infection control standards. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining professionalism and compassion with patients. - Familiarity with dental software systems or the ability to learn quickly. - Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
