Dental Assistant

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will assist the dentist during procedures, prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, take dental radiographs, educate patients, and help ensure a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

Prepare treatment rooms and patients for dental procedures. Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments. Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state regulations. Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment. Set up and break down operatories before and after patient treatment. Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes. Provide patients with post-operative and oral hygiene instructions. Assist with impressions, digital scans, and fabrication of temporary restorations as permitted by state regulations. Monitor inventory and order dental supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols. Support front office staff as needed with scheduling, patient communication, and administrative duties. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Dental Assistant certification or registration as required by state regulations. Current radiology certification (if required by state law). CPR/BLS certification. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments. Experience with dental software and electronic health records. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity required for handling dental instruments and equipment.
