Registered Dental Hygienist

Overview Rapidly growing private practice dental office in Clarksville-Sango is in need of an additional RDH to help fill out our team. Job would initially be part time 1-2 days per week but could eventually transition to full time if candidate desired. We are open Mon-Friday and are looking for a hygienist Tuesday's and/or Thursday's to start.

The owner dentist of the practice was a hygienist before going back to school and becoming a dentist, so hygiene is very important focus in the practice.

All hygiene instruments were purchased within the past 2 years (no old worn out instruments).

We use Curve Dental for charting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assist doctor in conducting examinations for patients.
• Review documentation and patient records to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by reviewing medical histories and performing preliminary assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and procedures using Curve Dental Software.
• Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and pediatric dentistry.

Qualifications

• Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist in TN with local anesthesia certification.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software is preferred.
• Experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
• Understanding of infection control standards and practices within the dental field.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while providing exceptional patient care.
