Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting clinical and administrative operations in a modern, patient-focused dental practice.
The ideal candidate must possess an active Texas Registered Dental Assistant license, demonstrate excellent chairside assisting skills, and maintain the highest standards of professionalism, infection control, and patient experience.
Schedule Requirements
Required Availability:
- Monday: Full Day
- Thursday: Full Day
- Friday: Full Day
- Saturday: Half Day (Optional)
Additional hours may be available based on practice needs.
Essential ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to improve clinical efficiency and patient comfort.
- Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
- Set up and organize instruments, materials, and equipment for scheduled procedures.
- Ensure all instruments are properly sterilized and maintained according to OSHA, CDC, and infection-control guidelines.
- Take, process, and document dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to all safety protocols and state regulations.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs when indicated.
- Provide patient education regarding oral hygiene, post-operative instructions, and treatment recommendations.
- Assist with medical imaging and patient monitoring for pediatric and medically compromised patients when necessary.
- Maintain inventory of clinical supplies and notify management of replenishment needs.
Patient Care & Communication
- Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Help create a positive, comfortable, and welcoming patient experience.
- Explain treatment procedures and answer patient questions within the scope of practice.
- Assist in managing patient flow to ensure efficient scheduling and minimal wait times.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic dental record systems such as OpenDental or similar EMR platforms.
- Document medical histories, treatment notes, and clinical information accurately and timely.
- Support front office operations, scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits and verifying insurance benefits and eligibility as and when needed
- Processing patient paperwork
- Maintaining medical documentation and treatment consents
- Assist with treatment plan presentation and coordination when needed.
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain strict compliance with:
- HIPAA regulations
- OSHA standards
- CDC infection-control guidelines
- Texas State Board dental regulations
- Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
- Ensure all clinical and administrative processes meet regulatory requirements and office policies.
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License (Mandatory)
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Ability to legally work in the United States
- Experience taking dental radiographs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of dental assisting experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
