Job Description
Centurion is proud to be the provider of dental services to the Florida Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at Northwest Florida Reception Center- Annex located in Chipley, Florida.
The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.
Essential Duties:
Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory Operating radiographic equipment Administrative tasks as needed High school diploma or GED equivalent required Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or 12 months of experience as a Dental Assistant required Certified Dental Assistant license and/or Expanded Dental Assistant Certificate or ability to obtain one required within first 6 months of employment Florida Radiograph Certificate, or ability to obtain one required within the first 6 months of employment Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation preferred, or willing to obtain one upon hire Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or willing to obtain one upon hire Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Available Shift: Days, 5:30AM-4PM; Monday-Thursday
