Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as an RDA Assistant, where training is provided to help you excel in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment! Duties
- Assist the dental team during patient procedures by preparing and passing instruments efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Take and develop X-rays, ensuring proper safety protocols and infection control measures are followed
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold high standards of infection control
- Record accurate medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment notes within electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Manage patient flow by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and updating medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks including medical documentation, coding procedures, and managing medical records
- Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures by understanding pediatric-specific dental terminology and providing compassionate care tailored to children
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for efficient record-keeping and documentation
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
- Experience with dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners for accurate diagnostics
- Strong understanding of dental terminology across specialties such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry
- Ability to perform chairside assisting with competence in aseptic techniques and anatomy knowledge
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic setting
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and pediatric dentistry practices to support comprehensive patient care
