Job Description

Full-Time Dental Assistant Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required

New Orleans Smiles is looking for an experienced Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our growing team. We are seeking someone who is dependable, motivated, patient-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This position is ideal for a dental assistant who enjoys both clinical care and teamwork, takes initiative, communicates well, and is looking for a long-term opportunity to grow within a supportive office culture.

Responsibilities

  • Chairside assisting during dental procedures
  • Assisting with orthodontic procedures and patient flow
  • Taking dental X-rays and clinical photos
  • Preparing and sterilizing instruments and operatories
  • Maintaining operatory flow and cleanliness
  • Supporting patient care, comfort, and education
  • Assisting providers with clinical procedures and daily workflow
  • Accurate charting and clinical documentation
  • Collaborating closely with dental, ortho, hygiene, and admin teams

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
  • Proficient in both dental and orthodontic assisting
  • EDDA certification required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required
  • X-ray certification preferred
  • Available to work Saturdays
  • Strong clinical knowledge, organization, and patient communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented

Compensation: $17–20/hour

Pay will be based on experience, certifications, clinical knowledge, and overall qualifications.
