We are seeking a strong Office Manager who can lead daily operations, support our clinical team, and help build the premier dental practice in North Columbus.
Position Overview
The Office Manager is responsible for the overall business operations of the practice, ensuring an outstanding patient experience while driving team performance, operational efficiency, collections, scheduling, and profitability.
This is not a 'maintenance' role. We are looking for a leader who enjoys improving systems, developing people, solving problems, and helping a growing practice reach its full potential.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership Lead and coach front office team members Create a culture of accountability, positivity, and professionalism Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees Support collaboration between front office, hygiene, and doctor teams Practice Operations Oversee daily scheduling and patient flow Monitor production, collections, and key performance indicators Manage insurance claims, accounts receivable, and collections processes Ensure treatment plans are presented and scheduled effectively Identify operational bottlenecks and implement improvements Financial Management Monitor daily deposits and financial reporting Track collections and outstanding A/R Review insurance aging reports and unpaid claims Support budgeting and expense management Work closely with ownership to achieve practice goals Patient Experience Ensure every patient receives exceptional service Handle escalated patient concerns professionally Improve patient retention and reactivation efforts Help drive referrals and positive online reviews Growth Initiatives Help recruit hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff Support implementation of new technology and systems Develop strategies to increase treatment acceptance Assist ownership in growing production and collections
Qualifications Required 3+ years of dental office management experience Strong understanding of dental insurance and billing Experience managing scheduling, collections, and accounts receivable Excellent leadership and communication skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Preferred Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix Multi-provider practice experience Knowledge of dental KPIs and practice analytics Experience leading teams of 5–15 employees
