Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time/full-time experienced dental hygienist to join us. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform comprehensive dental cleanings, and support overall practice efficiency. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols, with a focus on adult care only. The Registered Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for all patients while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

Duties

• Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations.
• Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays using appropriate aseptic techniques.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in Open Dental.
• Ensure infection control standards are upheld through proper sterilization and aseptic techniques.
• Review medical records and documentation to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality patient care in general dentistry settings.
• Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
• Minimum one year experience is preferred.
• Nitrous Oxide and Local Anesthesia Certificate is required.

• Hours: M-R 9am - 5pm, F 8am - 1pm.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $46.00 - $50.00 per hour
