Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about oral health, possess strong clinical skills, and excel in patient education. As a Dental Hygienist at Distler Family Dentistry, you will play a vital role in promoting dental hygiene and preventive care while delivering exceptional service to our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform dental cleanings and oral examinations to assess patients' oral health
• Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
• Remove plaque and calculus from teeth and below the gumline
• Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants to prevent tooth decay
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized home care instructions
• Conduct periodontal assessments and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of gum disease
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Perform administrative re-appointment tasks and seeing limited exams during openings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Current state licensure as a Dental Hygienist
• CPR certification
• Proficiency in digital dental radiography
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient care
• Prior experience in a dental office is preferred but not required
