Your essential functions will include:
Direct Patient Care: Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment. Gather medical histories, take vitals (blood pressure and pulse), and assist the dentist during a variety of general and specialized procedures (including orthodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery and cosmetic). Diagnostics & Prep: Take precise digital radiographs (x-rays) and scan for study casts. Patient Education: Provide clear post-operative instructions and educate patients on optimal oral hygiene strategies and nutritional counseling. Infection Control: Champion patient safety by overseeing infection control protocols, preparing treatment rooms, and strictly sterilizing instruments and equipment. Practice Flow & Administration: Manage patient flow to maximize the doctor's schedule. Assist with front-office tasks via PC, including scheduling appointments, communicating with patients and suppliers, and ordering supplies. What We Are Looking For:
Experience: At least 1 year of Dental Assisting experience is highly preferred. You should have a strong proficiency in dental terminology and clinical procedures. Experience with Dentrix and Dexis software is a major plus! Education & Certifications: * DA I or DA II Professional Traits: Excellent communication skills, punctuality, self-motivation, and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
