Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules using dental software.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Support our practice needs by creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patients.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient experiences.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control practices.
- Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Full Mouth Rehabilitation Cases is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
- Certification in CPR and knowledge of first aid practices are advantageous.
