Experienced Dental Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules using dental software.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control standards.
• Support our practice needs by creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patients.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control practices.
• Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Full Mouth Rehabilitation Cases is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
• Certification in CPR and knowledge of first aid practices are advantageous.
