Dental Assistant

Reporting directly to Dr. Bordeaux, the dental assistant has an integral role in patient care, including setting up and cleaning treatment rooms, escorting patients to the treatment room and making them comfortable, and assisting the periodontist with surgical treatment.
Other required duties include: taking dental x-rays, preparing and sterilizing instruments, handpieces and other equipment in compliance with OSHA standards and CDC guidelines, providing post-operative instructions to patients after surgical treatment, monitoring inventory and ordering dental supplies, and various office tasks as directed by Dr. Bordeaux.
Education and experience requirements include: high school diploma or equivalent, graduate of accredited dental assisting program, compliance with x-ray requirements and OSHA, and computer skills. Dental assisting experience preferred.
Office hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 8-5, and one Saturday a month, from 8-1.
