Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and readily available.
- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Take and develop medical imaging as required, including X-rays, while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Manage patient records using Dentrix and Dexis software, including scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate medical histories.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed, including answering phones, managing patient inquiries, and coordinating with the dental receptionist.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and dental assisting best practices to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential.
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to dentistry is highly desirable.
- Experience with Dentrix and Dexis dental management software is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
