Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join Kelty McLaurin Pediatric Dentistry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a blend of technical skills and interpersonal abilities, as you will work with children and special needs patients, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment.

Responsibilities Ensuring that all necessary instruments are prepared and available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist. Perform coronal polishing procedures to remove plaque and stains from teeth, enhancing patient oral health and aesthetics Maintain accurate medical documentation and update electronic patient health records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and instructions. Manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality patient care. Skills .

Valid certification in Coronal Polishing from an accredited program KY Xray certification Strong understanding of medical documentation practices and medical terminology. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, parents and team members. Strong attention to detail, particularly in infection control measures and procedural protocols. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
