Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dentistry office. As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our young patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist our pediatric dentist in delivering dental procedures and treatments while ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for children and their parents.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the pediatric dentist during dental procedures and treatments, including cleanings, fillings, extractions, and dental exams.
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient procedures.
- Take dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, creating a friendly and welcoming environment.
- Follow all OSHA and HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a pediatric dental office is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification. (Required)
- CPR certification (Required)
- Coronal Polishing, Sealant and Nitrous Certification (Recommended not Required)
