Duties
- Assist dentists chairside during endodontics, procedures with precision and confidence.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic technique.
- Take dental X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort.
- Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) , ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures; assist with dental documentation as needed.
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient check-in/out processes.
- Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to OSHA standards to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.
- Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote overall oral health.
Skills
- Proficiency with dental records and documentation.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and Endodontic terminology
- Experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry for efficiency and comfort.
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners with precision.
- Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of Endodontic dentistry principles and experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
