Dental Assistant

We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and skilled Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, patient-focused, and passionate about delivering exceptional care while supporting our doctor in providing efficient, high-quality dentistry.

Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a wide variety of dental procedures. Perform expanded duties in accordance with Georgia state regulations. Place and carve restorative materials as permitted. Take digital radiographs and intraoral photographs. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA and CDC guidelines. Maintain accurate patient records and charting. Educate patients on treatment plans, post-operative instructions, and oral hygiene. Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges. Take impressions, pour models, and assist with digital scanning. Monitor and maintain dental inventory and supplies. Ensure operatories remain clean, organized, and fully stocked. Provide exceptional customer service while creating a comfortable experience for every patient. Collaborate closely with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification or equivalent as recognized by the State of Georgia. Current CPR certification. Radiology certification. Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred. Experience with digital radiography and electronic dental records. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications Experience with Dentrix or similar practice management software. Experience with intraoral scanners and digital dentistry. Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC infection control guidelines. Strong understanding of restorative, crown and bridge, implant, and cosmetic procedures.
