Dental Assistant

Experienced Implant & Prosthodontic Dental Assistant Nathan Memmott, DDS – Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry is seeking an experienced dental assistant who genuinely enjoys both implant dentistry and prosthodontics. This is not a surgery-only assisting position. Although the role includes implant surgery, extractions, grafting, veneers, crowns, and other clinical procedures, a major focus will be managing prosthetic appointments and helping guide patients through complex treatment with confidence and minimal doctor involvement.

Primary Responsibilities ● Guide patients through implant prosthetic appointments, including records, digital scans, photographs, impressions, bite records, shade information, try-ins, and delivery preparation ● Prepare thoroughly for full-arch and complex restorative appointments so the doctor can step in efficiently for necessary clinical decisions and treatment ● Help patients understand their treatment sequence, upcoming appointments, expectations, and next steps ● Assist with new-patient consultations by gathering records, understanding the patient’s concerns and goals, taking photographs and scans, and helping create a confident, organized experience ● Assist with implant surgery, extractions, bone grafting, full-arch procedures, veneers, crowns, bridges, and other restorative treatment ● Coordinate cases with dental laboratories and track prosthetic components, timelines, and case details ● Maintain detailed clinical notes and communicate important information to the doctor and clinical team ● Anticipate what is needed for each appointment and independently keep cases moving forward ● Support anxious or complex patients with patience, professionalism, and clear communication ● Maintain excellent sterilization, infection-control, room setup, inventory, and clinical organization standards The Ideal Candidate ● Is a current Texas Registered Dental Assistant ● Has strong experience with implant dentistry, prosthodontics, full-arch treatment, or complex restorative dentistry ● Enjoys prosthetic appointments and understands that the restorative phase is just as important as surgery ● Can confidently lead the flow of an appointment without waiting for constant direction ● Is comfortable working closely with patients during longer, multi-appointment treatment processes ● Is detail-oriented with scans, impressions, bite records, shades, photographs, components, and laboratory communication ● Can anticipate the doctor’s needs and clearly identify when the doctor needs to become involved ● Is dependable, organized, proactive, and calm in a busy clinical environment ● Communicates professionally and helps patients feel confident that their treatment is progressing properly ● Wants to grow clinically and become highly skilled in implant and prosthodontic care We are a privately owned, non-corporate practice with convenient locations in Spring and The Woodlands. We focus heavily on dental implants, full-mouth rehabilitation, cosmetic dentistry, and helping patients with failing or missing teeth achieve a long-term solution. Schedule: Full-time, primarily Monday through Friday
