Prepare patient for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating draping patient

Provide information to patients & employees by answering questions requests

Maintain instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing selecting instruments

Select materials equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patients’ oral health

Complete dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits as well as stains from teeth from beneath gum margins
-
Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling as well as visually examining gums; using probes to locate periodontal disease plus to assess levels of recession; exposing developing radiographic studies

Maintain patient appearance as well as ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations; cleaning plus polishing removable appliances; placing, carving and finishing amalgam restorations; removing cement from crowns bridges

Help dentist manage dental as well as medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drugs plus oxygen supply directory of emergency numbers

Educate patients by giving oral hygiene as well as plaque control instructions, postoperative instructions, providing reminders of time of next dental hygiene visit

Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical dental histories; charting in patient records

Maintain patient confidence protects operations by keeping information confidential

Maintain safe as well as clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules regulations

Protect patients as well as employees by adhering to infection-control policies protocols

Ensure operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturers’ instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment techniques

Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock to define inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies

Conserve dental resources by using equipment supplies as needed to accomplish job results
