Dental Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist dentists in providing high-quality dental care to patients. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent patient care skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Set up and prepare equipment and instruments
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies

Skills:

• Proficient inpatient assessment
• Strong knowledge of dental anatomy
• Experience with X-Ray procedures
• Ability to monitor vital signs during procedures
• Knowledge of medical coding and documentation
• Familiarity with dental receptionist duties
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations
• Skilled in aseptic techniques for infection control
• Proficiency in Open Dental Software/Dental Software
