Dental Treatment Coordinator (Bilingual – English/Spanish)
We are seeking an experienced, confident, and personable Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our growing private dental practice. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in both PPO and HMO insurance, excels at patient communication, and is committed to providing outstanding customer service.
We are a private practice with three locations, and candidates must be willing to travel to our Channelview and Humble offices as needed.
Key Responsibilities: Treatment Presentation: Clearly explain the dentist's recommended treatment plans, procedures, and the benefits of proposed care to patients. Financial Coordination: Review treatment costs, discuss third-party financing options (such as CareCredit and Sunbit), and arrange customized payment plans. Insurance Verification: Verify PPO and HMO insurance benefits, calculate estimated patient responsibility, obtain pre-authorizations, and submit insurance claims. Patient Follow-Up: Monitor pending treatment plans and proactively contact patients who have not scheduled treatment to answer questions and encourage case acceptance. Patient Experience: Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a welcoming, professional, and compassionate environment.
Qualifications: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a dental front office or treatment coordinator role. Strong understanding of PPO and HMO dental insurance plans. Experience verifying insurance benefits, presenting treatment plans, and discussing financial arrangements. Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Open Dental, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between our Channelview and Humble locations as needed.
