Dental Assistant

Morningside Dental is a single doctor general dentistry practice. We have been in the Morningside area of Sioux City for 50 years and at our current location since 2008. Many of our employees have been with us for decades. One of our assistants is retiring after many years of dedicated service and we are looking for a friendly, personable and hard working dental assistant to join our Morningside Dental Family.

What to expect from Morningside Dental

We work Monday-Thursday; 7:45-5:15 most days; no Fridays or weekends

Our office is like a family and we support each other in our work life but also as a person navigating through the twists and turns of their personal journey.

We are patient focused working as a team to deliver excellent oral healthcare and quality customer service.

What does this job entail?

Greeting, seating and getting an updated health history from the patient

Chairside assisting of the doctor with varying procedures

Thorough and accurate documentation of procedures performed

Performing Digital Radiography

Sterilization of instruments, maintaining infection control of treatment and sterilization areas

Helping other Morningside Dental staff members to create a positive experience for our patients

Qualifications

Current Iowa Registered Dental Assistant License (RDA)

Current CPR training cerificate or willingness to obtain

Professional, caring and patient focused work ethic

Comfortable using computer and computer software especially digital dental radiography software

Good communication skills and a willingness to learn new things

Previous dental assisting experience preferred but not required
