Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to perform thorough dental cleanings, patient assessments, and education while ensuring compliance with all safety and infection control protocols. Your passion for general dentistry will help create a positive, comfortable experience for every patient. We are a practice focused on providing individualized high quality patient focused dental care, not a production based corporate model. We schedule 7 patients a day to provide ample time to treat your patients to the highest standard.

We are willing to teach a new graduate to gain valuable skills and experience. We are seeking to fill Monday to Friday.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and evaluating oral conditions.
• Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric and adult patients.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in Eaglesoft, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Support infection control procedures by practicing aseptic techniques, sterilizing instruments, and adhering to OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure seamless patient flow during general dentistry procedures.
• Utilize Guided Biofilm Reduction using EMS airflow and salivary testing
• Review documentation for accuracy, assist with medical coding when necessary, and ensure all patient information is up-to-date.
• Uphold confidentiality of patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations while providing compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology.
• Ability to perform vital signs assessment, medical imaging, and documentation review accurately.
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and foster a welcoming environment.
