Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
- Take dental X-rays and ensure proper imaging protocols are followed.
- Manage patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental reception area efficiently.
- Monitor vital signs as needed during procedures.
- Support various dental specialties including general dentistry and endodontics as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or similar environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including knowledge of medical imaging practices.
- Familiarity with dental receptionist duties is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile work environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to manage medical records accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
