Dental Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills, as the Dental Assistant will assist in various procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
• Take dental X-rays and ensure proper imaging protocols are followed.
• Manage patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Schedule appointments and manage the dental reception area efficiently.
• Monitor vital signs as needed during procedures.
• Support various dental specialties including general dentistry and endodontics as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dental clinic or similar environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including knowledge of medical imaging practices.
• Familiarity with dental receptionist duties is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile work environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Ability to manage medical records accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
