Position Overview We are seeking a skilled, personable, and energetic Expanded Functions / Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing expanded functions, assisting in general and comprehensive dental procedures, and delivering a comfortable experience for patients of all ages.

Schedule & Hours Work Days: Monday through Friday, with required availability for 2 Saturdays per month.

Work-Life Balance: You will not work 6 days a week. A weekday off will be scheduled during weeks with Saturday coverage to maintain a standard 5-day workweek.

Key Responsibilities Chairside Assisting: Provide four-handed dentistry assisting the dentist across general, restorative, and surgical procedures.

Expanded Functions: Perform expanded duties in accordance with Texas State Board of Dental Examiners guidelines (e.g., coronal polishing, sealant application, temporary crown fabrication/placement as certified).

Radiography: Take high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral images.

Patient Care & Education: Prepare patients for treatments, review health histories, explain procedures, and answer post-operative care questions.

Sterilization & Room Prep: Clean, sterilize, and set up treatment rooms and instruments according to OSHA and infection control standards.

Administrative Support: Assist with clinical notes, chart entries, supply inventory, and lab tracking as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements Certification: Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.

Expanded Functions: Expanded Functions certification / training required.

Certifications:

Active Texas Radiology Certification (Required)

CPR / BLS Certification (Required)

Nitrous Oxide Monitoring Certification (Preferred)

Coronal Polishing & Pit/Fissure Sealants Certification (Preferred)

Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on dental assisting experience preferred.

Skills: Proficient with dental software (Dentrix, Open Dental, or similar) and digital X-ray systems.

Attributes: Strong communication skills, punctual, detail-oriented, and a team player with a warm chairside demeanor.
