Dental Assistant

** This is not an entry level position. Please do not apply unless you have 3 years of recent chairside experience**
We are seeking an experienced assistant who is well spoken, well-organized and has a great attention to detail. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and possess ability to make clinical procedures go as efficiently as possible while maintaining an elevated level of customer service. This position would be for 3-5 days a week (negotiable). We are a general dental practice that performs a plethora of procedures for our patients ranging from basic restorative to whitening, endodontics, Invisalign , oral surgery and implant placement!
Responsibilities:
Welcome Patients in the dental office Prepare patient for treatment Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Follow up with all lab cases sent out Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Fabricate temporary crowns Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide pre-operative and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental operatory clean and well-stocked Maintain accurate patient records, clinical notes, enter and present treatment plans.
Skills: Proven experience as a chairside dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of OSHA and HIPAA regulations Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable Certified in expanded duties preferred Oral Surgery Experience a plus Open Dental knowledge strongly desired iTero and trios scanning a plus
