Job Overview
You will play a vital role in promoting optimal oral health and delivering exceptional patient care. Dr. Collins runs a very conservative practice where our patients come first, no selling or over diagnosing treatment. We have a great drama free team that really rely on each other, promoting a healthy work environment.
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain and improve patients’ oral health.
- Conduct oral health assessments, including periodontal screenings and charting using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies to promote long-term dental wellness.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including preparing instruments and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments.
- Take diagnostic radiology images, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Support clinic operations by handling manual handling tasks responsibly, maintaining sterilization standards, and ensuring a safe environment for staff and patients.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR management systems for accurate documentation and record keeping.
- Excellent client communication skills to explain procedures clearly and give oral hygiene instructions confidently.
- Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) certification including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) to ensure preparedness for emergencies.
