Dental Hygienist

We are currently building and expanding our hygiene program and are looking for the right Registered Dental Hygienist to grow with us. This position will initially be 2–3 days per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time position as our hygiene program continues to grow. We would love to find someone who is interested in becoming a long-term part of our practice and helping us develop a strong, patient centered hygiene program.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal hygienist is compassionate, dependable, detail oriented, and genuinely enjoys connecting with patients. Because we are growing our hygiene program, we are especially interested in someone who is proactive, organized, and excited about helping build a successful hygiene department. We want our hygienist to take ownership of the patient experience from providing excellent clinical care to educating patients about periodontal health and helping them understand the importance of maintaining consistent preventive care.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental hygiene appointments Provide adult and pediatric prophylaxis Perform periodontal charting and assessments Perform scaling and root planing (SRP) and periodontal maintenance Take digital radiographs as needed Review medical and dental histories Identify and communicate areas of concern to the dentist Educate patients about periodontal health, home care, and preventive dentistry Help patients understand recommended hygiene intervals and periodontal treatment Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation Follow OSHA, infection-control, and sterilization protocols Help maintain an organized and productive hygiene schedule Assist in developing and strengthening our growing hygiene program Work collaboratively with the dentist, assistants, and front-office team Curve Dental Software is a plus Spanish speaking is preferred

Qualifications

Current Texas Registered Dental Hygienist license Current CPR/BLS certification Excellent clinical and periodontal skills Strong communication and patient-education skills Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Comfortable working with digital dental technology Desire to grow professionally and contribute to the growth of the practice
