Experienced EFDA Dental Assistant – 4-Day Workweek
We are seeking an experienced, dependable Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of hands-on dental assisting experience, takes pride in providing exceptional patient care, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative, high-performing dental team.
Schedule
Clinic hours: Monday–Thursday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Some Friday hours may be required based on patient and office needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of dental assisting experience
- Strong chairside assisting and clinical skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to anticipate the needs of the doctor and patient
- Strong understanding of sterilization, infection control, room turnover, and clinical flow
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to take initiative and work independently while supporting the needs of the entire team
Highly Desirable Qualifications
Candidates with additional expanded-function training and certifications are strongly encouraged to apply. Highly desirable qualifications include:
- EFDA / Expanded Function Dental Assistant certification
- Restorative expanded-function certification and experience
- Anesthesia / local anesthetic expanded-function certification or permit, where applicable
- Experience assisting with a broad range of restorative procedures
- Experience with digital dentistry, dental software, and current dental technology
- Strong knowledge of lab case management and tracking
- Ability to confidently manage clinical responsibilities and help maintain an efficient daily schedule
