Responsibilities

  • Perform root canal treatments (endodontics) with precision, ensuring thorough cleaning, shaping, and filling of root canals
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans
  • Diagnose dental conditions using clinical examinations and medical imaging techniques such as X-rays or 3D scans
  • Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless treatment experiences
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations
  • Implement infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures
  • Educate patients on their dental health, treatment options, post-procedure care, and preventive practices

Qualifications

  • Valid license to practice dentistry with specialized training or certification in endodontics or general dentistry with endodontic experience
  • Proven experience in performing root canal therapy, dental extractions, oral surgery, and other endodontic procedures
  • Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for charting and medical documentation
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and healthcare diagnosis processes
  • Skilled in utilizing dental fabrication tools and medical imaging technology for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Experience with pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, prosthodontics, and dental implants is a plus but not required
  • Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately
