Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The Dental Hygienist will provide preventive oral healthcare services, educate patients on proper oral hygiene, and support the dental team in delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing. Conduct oral health assessments and document patient findings. Take and develop dental radiographs in accordance with applicable regulations. Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive therapies as directed. Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, tooth decay, oral cancer, and other oral health concerns. Record accurate and timely clinical notes in the patient management system. Educate patients on brushing, flossing, nutrition, and effective at-home oral care. Provide individualized recommendations based on each patient’s oral health needs. Review medical histories and identify conditions that may affect dental treatment. Maintain strict infection-control and sterilization procedures. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment. Communicate patient concerns and clinical findings to the dentist and broader care team. Support a positive, comfortable, and respectful patient experience. Follow all applicable professional, health, safety, and privacy regulations. Participate in continuing education and maintain current clinical knowledge. Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent qualification in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program. Current dental hygienist license or registration in Ohio. Current CPR and basic life support certification. New grads welcome. Proficiency in dental charting and practice-management software. Knowledge of current infection-control standards and clinical procedures. Ability to take accurate dental radiographs, where permitted by local regulations. Ability to use dental instruments and equipment safely and accurately. Ability to maintain proper ergonomic positioning during patient care.
