Dental Assistant
Job Description
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare and maintain dental materials, such as composite, amalgam, and impression materials
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records
- Assist with dental documentation in Dentrix
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills -Motivated to learn and improve
