Dental Assistant
Job Description
About the Role Glow Dental is a family-owned practice with three offices in Highland Park, Skokie, and Oak Lawn. We're privately owned, not a DSO, so nobody outside this practice is setting your appointment times or telling you how many patients to get through in a day. If you need a different instrument, or the sterilization workflow isn't working, we will work with you!
You'll assist a small, stable clinical team so you'll learn everyone's preferences and settle into a rhythm instead of adapting to a new provider every few months.
Our patients are mostly families who've been with us for years. You'll see the same people at recall, learn their kids' names, and have them ask for you when they book. That's a different job than high-volume assisting, and it's usually the reason people stay.
For the right person we pay at the top of this market, offer a health insurance plan you can join, provide paid time off, and offer full-time employees a collections-based bonus after an introductory period. We support certifications and we promote from within.
What You'll Do • Chairside assisting, general and cosmetic • Digital x-rays • Impressions and scans • Room setup, turnover, sterilization • Charting and post-op instructions • Supply inventory • Regular and reliable communication with front desk and entire team
What You'll Bring Required: • One year chairside experience in general dentistry, or a certificate from an accredited program • Current CPR • Experience with digital charting and imaging • Consistent dependable attendance Preferred: • Illinois dental radiography certification, or ability to obtain • Spanish a plus
