About the Role We are a well-established private general dental practice in Bergen County looking for an experienced, dependable, and proactive Dental Front Office Lead / Treatment Coordinator to join our team. Our practice provides comprehensive dentistry, including preventive and restorative care, crowns and bridges, endodontics, oral surgery, dental implants, periodontal treatment, Invisalign, and digital dentistry. We are looking for more than someone who can simply answer phones and schedule appointments. We are looking for an experienced dental professional who understands how a successful front office operates and can take ownership of the patient experience and daily schedule.
What You'll Do • Answer incoming calls professionally and convert new-patient inquiries into appointments • Manage the doctor and hygiene schedules efficiently • Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits • Understand PPO dental insurance and accurately communicate estimated patient responsibility • Present treatment plans and discuss financial arrangements confidently and compassionately • Follow up with patients who have diagnosed but unscheduled treatment • Manage recall and patient reactivation • Help fill cancellations and open schedule time • Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and accounts receivable • Check patients in and out and collect payments • Maintain accurate patient information and documentation • Communicate effectively with the doctor, clinical team, and patients • Identify front-office problems and take initiative to solve them
What You'll Bring Required: • 3+ years of dental front-office experience preferred • Strong knowledge of dental insurance and PPO plans • Experience with treatment coordination and case presentation • Strong scheduling and organizational skills • Comfortable discussing treatment costs and financial arrangements with patients • Professional, warm, reliable, and confident • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities • Interested in becoming a long-term member of a private dental practice • Able to work independently without requiring constant supervision Preferred: • Experience with Open Dental is strongly preferred
