Dental Assistant

What you’ll do

• Responsibilities:

• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during a range of procedures, including root canal therapy, extractions, impressions, and temporary crown fabrication, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort.

• Maintain and update patients’ dental EMR accurately.

• Maintain compliance with dental office protocols, including weekly spore testing, Quarterly waterline testing, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations, to ensure a safe and regulatory-compliant environment.

• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment to ensure a safe, sanitary, and compliant clinical environment.

• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide clear postoperative care instructions to support their recovery and long-term dental health.

• Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and a seamless clinical experience.

Basic qualifications

• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures related to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more.
• Familiarity with medical coding and documentation processes to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with 3D scanning technology for enhanced diagnostic capabilities.
• Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Dentrix or similar EMR systems is a plus.
