Licensed Dental Assistant
Job Description
The Periodontal Center is a privately owned practice, with offices in Hudson WI and Woodbury MN, dedicated to providing exceptional comprehensive care in a patient-focused environment. We are currently looking for an energetic individual to join our supportive and skilled team as a Licensed Dental Assistant.
This is a 32-hour/week (fulltime) position, working Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, primarily in our Hudson WI location.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the periodontist during exams, surgeries, and procedures
- Gather and record patient's medical history; take x-rays and intraoral images as needed
- Chart patient exam findings
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials as needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Required skills include:
- Current MN Dental Assisting License
- Proven experience as a dental assistant is desired, experience in periodontics or oral surgery in a plus
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Good computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- Additional certification or training is an asset (i.e., Minnesota Dental Assistant License, Nitrous Certification, Allied Sedation)
