Dental Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist to provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental assisting, possess strong communication skills, and be knowledgeable in dental procedures and terminology.

Duties:

• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Assist the dentist during procedures
• Take dental x-rays
• Perform vital signs and patient assessments
• Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
• Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
• Sterilize Instruments
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy

Experience: -1-2 years experience (not required, willing to train)

• Proficient in taking dental x-rays
• Familiarity with Dentrix Software preferred (not required, willing to train)
• Strong knowledge of dental instruments, anatomy and terminology
• Skilled in performing vital signs and patient assessments
• Ability to assist with various dental procedures

• Knowledge of dental systems and equipment
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance
